Considering that the substance perfluoro-tert. butanol is reported to be slightly acidic, irritation to skin, eyes and respiratory tract is considered likely and thus in a precautionary approach such classification is supported. Accordingly, the substance is classified in a self-classification as skin irritant, category 2 (H315), eye irritant category 2 (H319 and respiratory irritant (STOT SE3, H335) according to CLP (Regulation EC No 1272/2008).
