Description of key information
Using a simplified flask method with visual observation, the water solubility of the substance at 20°C has been determined as < 0.9 mg/L. As a suitable analytical method for the determination of test substance concentrations in water could not be developed, the column elution method could not be performed. Therefore it was also considered useful to calculate the water solubility of the constituents of the substance, using the program WATERNT (v1.01), part of EPI Suite, resulting in the following calculated water solubilities at 25°C:
The component with CAS# 154099-21-5 (MDI-CHA/ODA): 6.2E-07 mg/L
The component with CAS# 43136-14-7 (MDI-ODA/ODA): 7.9E-07 mg/L
The component with CAS# 58890-25-8 (MDI-CHA/CHA): 0.00094 mg/L
The component MDI-ODA/DCHA: 7.0E-07 mg/L
The component MDI-CHA/DCHA: 1.2E-04 mg/L
In addition, the impurity with CAS# 127194-10-9 (MDI/DCHA): 6.1E-07 mg/L
These components together represent approx. 100% of the substance, based on their typical concentation.
