General Information
- Implementation:
- EU
- Type of classification:
- harmonised classification
- Remarks:
The applicable classification is the consolidated CLP classification, derived by taking into account both self-classification based on study results, and CLP harmonised classification (index N°603-227-00-9).
The self-classification is as follows:
- Organic peroxide type E , H242
[NOTE ON ORGANIC PEROXIDE CLASSIFICATION:
For safety reasons, the substance is only marketed in a diluted form.
According to the UN Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods - Model Regulations 21st revised edition: for a max. authorized concentration of the substance put on the market < or = 52% with diluent type B (> or = 48%), a classification as Organic peroxide type E (UN3107) applies ].
- Aquatic acute toxicity cat.1 , H400.
- Aquatic chronic toxicity cat.1 , H410.
The CLP harmonised classification (index N° 603-227-00-9) is as follows:
- Aquatic acute toxicity cat.1 , H400.
- Aquatic chronic toxicity cat.1 , H410.
Note:
The above mentionned classification is applicable to the peroxide diluted in ethylbenzene. In case of other diluent used, this classification should be reassessed by considering the CLP classification criteria for mixtures.
