- Details on test conditions:
- The limit test was used in the definitive test based on the result of the preliminary test. The solution was prepared as follow: 0.1002g of test item was added to IOOOmL dilution water directly. Then the solution was mixed for 24 hours at the speed of 500 r/min using a stirrer al 25°C to obtain the solution at 1OOmg/L. Blank control was run simultaneously and four replicates with five daphnia in each were carried out for both groups. . The mortalities and immobilization conditions of daphnia were inspected and recorded at 24-hour interval

- Results with reference substance (positive control):
- Potassium dichromate as reference item was tested for EC50 as a means of assuring that the test conditions are reliable at least twice a year in the laboratory. The results of the latest reference item test (Study Number HI185570110, performed on July 04 ~ 05, 2018) before the definitive test showed that EC50-24 h of potassium dichromate to Daphnia magna was 1.22 mg/L, and the 95% confidence limits was 1.06 ~ 1.41 mg/L. The results met the recommended criterion in OECD Guideline No. 202: EC50-24 h of potassium dichromate as results are within the range of 0.6 mg/L to 2.1 mg/L.
Applicant's summary and conclusion
- Validity criteria fulfilled:
- yes
- Conclusions:
- According to test results, the test daphnia were not immobilized or showed any adverse effects in the solution ofN-Boc-D-phenylglycinol at IOOmg/L during 48-hour observation period. Therefore, N-Boc-D-phenylglycinol had no acute immobilization effects on daphnia at 1OOmg/L and the result was expressed as follows:
The 24h EC5o and 48h EC5o were both greater than IOOmg/L - Executive summary:
The daphnia sp. (Daplmia magna Straus), acute immobilization test of N-Boc-D-phenylglycinol wasperformed in thistest.
