Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

A combustibility test for the determination of the burning index (referred to as ‘class number’ in VDI 2263) was performed.

A class number of 4 was attributed to the test item, based on its behaviour: glowing without sparks or slow decomposition without flame.

Justification for classification or non-classification

According to the CLP Regulation (EC 1272/2008) powdered, granular or pasty substances or mixtures (except powders of metals or metal alloys — see 2.7.2.2) shall be classified based on the test method described in Part III, sub section 33.2.1, of the UN Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods, Manual of Tests and Criteria. Alternatively, the burning index (referred to as ‘class number’ in VDI 2263) as obtained from the Burning Behaviour test (VDI 2263, part 1) may be used.

Based on the observed substance behaviour (glowing without sparks or slow decomposition without flame), the substance is not classified according to CLP Regulation (EC 1272/2008).
