Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Reliable short-term toxicity tests results are available for freshwater invertebrates (Daphnia magna) and algae (Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata) for the multi-constituent submission substance (CAS 504396-15-0). The relevant short-term values are:

Daphnia: EC50 (48 h): >100 mg/L (nominal, WAF loading rate).

Algae: EL50 (72 h): >100 mg/L; NOEL: 100 mg/L (nominal, WAF loading rate).

Both studies used Total Organic Carbon (TOC) analysis to verify test concentrations. Since TOC analysis is a non-specific method, results are reported in terms of loading rates and expressed as mg test item per litre.

The measured water solubility of the test substance as a whole is <7.8 mg/L, with water solubilities for the individual constituents ranging from 2.1 - 95 mg/L. Initial measured TOC concentrations in the Daphnia and algae tests correspond with the water solubility of the substance.

The rapid hydrolysis of the constituents of the submission substance means it is likely that the test organisms in each test were exposed primarily to the hydrolysis products.
