First-aid measures
Description of first aid measures :
First-aid measures after inhalation : Take victim to fresh air, in a quiet place and if necessary take medical advice.
First-aid measures after skin contact : Wash off immediately with soap and plenty of water removing at the same time all contaminated clothes. In case of redness or irritation, call a doctor. Wash contaminated clothing before reuse.
First-aid measures after eye contact : Rinse eyes with water as a precaution.
First-aid measures after ingestion : Do not induce vomiting. Rinse mouth out with water. If symptoms persist call a doctor.
Most important symptoms and effects, both acute and delayed
Symptoms/effects after skin contact : Irritation. May cause an allergic skin reaction.
Indication of any immediate medical attention and special treatment needed :
Treat symptomatically.
Fire-fighting measures
Extinguishing media Suitable extinguishing media : Water spray. Foam. Carbon dioxide (CO2). Dry powder.
Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture Hazardous decomposition products in case of fire : Carbon oxides (CO, CO2). Nitrogen oxides. Various hydrocarbon fragments.
Advice for firefighters :
- Firefighting instructions : Prevent fire fighting water from entering the environment.
- Protection during firefighting : Do not attempt to take action without suitable protective equipment. Self-contained breathing apparatus.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures :
- For non-emergency personnel Emergency procedures : Avoid contact with skin. Only qualified personnel equipped with suitable protective equipment may intervene.
- Environmental precautions Do not allow product to spread into the environment.
- Methods and material for containment and cleaning up For containment : Take up liquid spill into absorbent material, e.g.: sand/earth. Put into a labelled container and provide safe disposal.
Handling and storage
Precautions for safe handling
- Precautions for safe handling : Avoid contact with skin.
- Hygiene measures : Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice.
Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities Storage conditions : Keep in a cool, well-ventilated place. Keep container closed when not in use.
