Additional information

Fatty acids, C18-unsaturated, 1,6 Hexanediol Diester (EC 947-912-3) is characterised by a low water solubility (WS: < 0.57 µg/L at 20 °C, pH 6.3), a very low, estimated vapour pressure (< 0.0001 Pa, 20 °C, SPARC v4.6) and a high estimated log Koc (> 5.0, KOCWIN v2.00). Therefore, sediment and soil are expected to be the main compartments for environmental distribution. However, due to its ready biodegradability (82.2% in 28 d, OECD 301B), the substance is expected to be rapidly degraded by microorganisms in aquatic and terrestrial environments and is therefore not expected to persist in the environment.
