- the study does not need to be conducted because exposure of humans via inhalation is not likely taking into account the vapour pressure of the substance and/or the possibility of exposure to aerosols, particles or droplets of an inhalable size
- Justification for type of information:
- A direct exposure of humans via inhalation is not likely, as the vapour pressure of the test item is very low and, in addition, the test item itself is formulated into different products and was found to be of very low toxicity in other reliable studies on different toxicity endpoints.
Therefore, due to animal welfare reasons, a further testing with exposure via inhalation at present is scientifically not justified.
