Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Physico-chemical properties of registered substance were determined from experimental testing.

Some endpoints were waived, based on the experience in handling and use of the substance and on the chemical structure of the known constituents or based on technical issues when standard methods were considered as more suitable for pure substances than for complex substances, specially when the information obtained from testing was not relevant or of practical use and irrelevant for subsequent assessments.

The substance is a yellowish mass at ambient temperature.

It is slightly denser than water.

The substance is NOT classified as Flammable Liquid under Regulation (EC) 1272/2008 (CLP regulation).

No other hazard was identified with regard to physical properties (flammability solids, explosivity, oxidising properties, self-heating substance) based on Regulation (EC) 1272/2008 and GHS criteria.

(OECD 104/EU A4,

static method)

The vapour pressure of the test item was determined to be 791 Pa at 20.0 °C and 1007 Pa at 25 °C

Log Kow

(data waiving)

Waived based on technical issue and poor knownledge of the composition of the substance.

Water solubility

(data waiving)

Waived considering the very complex nature of the test item, the information obtained from testing is considered as not relevant or of practical use for subsequent assessments

Surface tension

(waiving, not intended to use)

The structures of the constituents of the substance are not characteristic of true surfactants and considering that it is not the intended use of the substance (i.e. not a desired property), this conclusion should be taken with caution.

Auto-ignition temperature

(A15)

The auto-ignition temperature was determined to be 290°C

Flammability

Flash-point

(EU A9, ISO 3679, equilibrium closed cup)

Contact with air/water

(Waiving)

Self-heating

(waiving)

Not classified as a flammable solid.

The flash point of test item was determined to be 92.5°C.

No hazardous reaction anticipated if contact with air or water. Waiving, based on structure and experience.

The test item is a mass with a melting point below 160°C.

Explosive properties

(waiving)

Waiving based on chemical structure of the constituents of the substance.

Registered substance is not to be classified as explosive material.

Oxidising properties

(waiving)

Waiving based on chemical structure of the constituents of the substance.

Registered substance is considered to have no oxidizing properties

Slight variations are possible with composition (UVCB substance).
