The hazard assessment is based on the data currently available. New studies with the registered substance and/or other member substances of the polyol esters category will be conducted in the future. The finalised studies will be included in the technical dossier as soon as they become available and the hazard assessment will be re-evaluated accordingly.

Evaporation of Monopentaerythritol tetraesters and dipentaerythritol hexaesters of valeric, heptanoic and nonanoic acids to the atmosphere is not expected due to the low vapour pressure of the components. Thus indirect photodegradation is no relevant pathways for the substance since the substance is not likely to be present in the atmosphere. Due to the biodegradability of the substance abiotic hydrolysis is considered as no relevant degradation pathway.
