Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
General information: Immediately remove any clothing soiled by the product.
- After inhalation: Supply fresh air; consult doctor in case of complaints.
- After skin contact: Immediately wash with water and soap and rinse thoroughly.
- After eye contact: Rinse opened eye for several minutes under running water. If symptoms persist, consult a doctor.
- After swallowing: Call for a doctor immediately.
- Information for doctor:
- The following symptoms may occur: No product-specific symptoms known.
- Hazards and systemic effects: No specific hazards known.
- Possible routes of intake: Intake by swallowing or breathing of vapours.
- Chronic effects: No chronic effects known.
- Treatment: Symptomatic treatment.
No specific antidot.
Fire-fighting measures
- Suitable extinguishing agents: CO2, powder or water spray. Fight larger fires with water spray or alcohol resistant foam.
- For safety reasons unsuitable extinguishing agents: No restriction in large fires.
- Special hazards caused by the substance, its products of combustion or resulting gases: In case of fire, the following can be released: Carbon monoxide (CO)
- Protective equipment: Wear self-contained respiratory protective device. Chemical resistant protective suit.
Under the protective suit a fire protective suit according to EN 469 should be applied.
Accidental release measures
Person-related safety precautions: Wear protective equipment. Keep unprotected persons away. Use respiratory protective device against the effects of fumes/dust/ aerosol.
Avoid contact with eyes and skin.
Avoid spillage of product into the environment.
Access only for trained personnel with personal protective equipment.
- Measures for environmental protection: Do not allow to enter sewers/ surface or ground water. Do not flush into surface water or sanitary sewer system Keep contaminated washing water and dispose of appropriately.
- Measures for cleaning/ collecting: Absorb with liquid-binding material (sand, diatomite, acid binders, universal binders, sawdust).
- Additional information: No dangerous substances are released.
Discharge into waste water channels and biological treatment plants only after clearence with the operating company and in accordance with local Authority approval.
Handling and storage
- Handling
- Information for safe handling: Keep containers tightly sealed. Fill only in dedicated and assigned containers.
- Storage · Requirements to be met by storerooms and receptacles: No special requirements.
- Corrosion of metals: It should generally be borne in mind that there is a possibility of corrosion on contact with this material. Resistance should be checked in each individual case.
- Information about storage in one common storage facility: Store away from oxidizing agents.
- Further information about storage conditions: None.
- Maximum storage temperature: No data available.
- Recommended storage temperature: Currently no data available.
It is therefore recommended not to exceed room temperature (max. 25°C) during storage over a longer period of time.
- Acceptable storage time: No data available.
- Specific applications: See chapter 1: Application of this substance/preparation.
