Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
The LC50 (96 hours) was determined to be 73 mg/L (CL: 56-95 mg/L) indicating that the test substance may be harmful to fish.
Executive summary:

The acute toxicity of isophorone nitrile on the fresh-water fish Brachydanio rerio was determined according to OECD TG 203 by TNO (1991). The test was carried out as a semi-static test with daily renewal of the the test solutions over a period of 96 hours. Seven concentrations ranging from 10 to 320 mg/L plus controls were tested . The following endpoints were derived:

LC50 (96 hours): 73 mg/L (CL: 56 -95 mg/L)

NOEC (96 hours): 18 mg/L

The study was assessed as "reliable without restrictions".
