Protection during firefighting : Do not attempt to take action without suitable protective equipment. Self-contained breathing apparatus. Complete protective clothing.
Accidental release measures
1. Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures
General measures : Provide adequate ventilation where dust is formed.
1.1. For non-emergency personnel
Protective equipment : Avoid breathing dust, mist or spray.
Emergency procedures : Ventilate spillage area.
Measures in case of dust release : Avoid generating dusty conditions.
1.2. For emergency responders
Protective equipment : Do not attempt to take action without suitable protective equipment.
2. Environmental precautions
Avoid release to the environment.
3. Methods and material for containment and cleaning up
Methods for cleaning up : Mechanically recover the product. Keep in suitable and closed containers for disposal.
Other information : Dispose of materials or solid residues at an authorized site.

Exposure controls / personal protection
Appropriate engineering controls:
Ensure good ventilation of the work station.
Hand protection:
Manipulate with gloves. Gloves have to be controlled before the use. Use a technique of withdrawal of gloves suited to avoid that the skin contacts the product (i.e. without touching the outside surface of the glove). Throw gloves contaminated after the use according to the current laws and to the good practices of laboratory. Wash and dry hands. The selected gloves have to satisfy the specifications of the EU Directive 89 / 686 / EEC and in the standard IN 374 which derives from it.
Eye protection:
Safety glasses
Skin and body protection:
Choose body protection in relation to its type, to the concentration and amount of dangerous substances, and to the specific work-place. The type of protective equipment must be selected according to the concentration and amount of the dangerous substance at the specific workplace.
Respiratory protection:
In case of insufficient ventilation, wear suitable respiratory equipment. Wear a mask for dusty type N95(US) or type P1(EN143). Use approved material for standards such as NIOSH-US) or CEN(EU).
Environmental exposure controls:
Avoid release to the environment.
This substance is handled under Strictly Controlled Conditions in accordance with REACH regulation Article 18(4) for transported isolated intermediate. Site documentation to support safe handling arrangements including the selection of engineering, administrative and personal protective equipment controls in accordance with risk-based management system is available at each site. Stability and reactivity
Chemical stability: Stable under normal conditions.
Incompatible materials: Strong oxidizers.
Hazardous decomposition products: Carbon oxides (CO, CO2). Hydrogen bromide.
Disposal considerations
Regional legislation (waste) : Disposal must be done according to official regulations.
Waste treatment methods : Offer surplus and non-recyclable solutions to a licensed disposal company. Contact a licensed
professional waste disposal service to dispose of this material.
Product/Packaging disposal recommendations : Dispose of contaminated packaging as unused product.
