(PN-ISO 1392: Method for the determination of the freezing point: 2002)
Key result
Melting / freezing pt.:
< -35.2 °C
Remarks on result:
other: (temperature of initial freezing point)

During the test the temperature of samples decreased at a constant rate, for measurement No. 1 to the temperature of -35.2 ºC and for measurement No. 2 to the temperature of -30.5 ºC. The crystallization was not observed during all measurements.

The crystallization of di(tert-butoxy)diacetoxysilane was not visually observed up to -35.2 °C.

Conclusions:
The crystallization of di(tert-butoxy)diacetoxysilane was not visually observed up to -35.2 °C.
Executive summary:

The determination of the freezing point of di(tert-butoxy)diacetoxysilane was performed according to EU Method A.1 in conformity with OECD Guideline 102 (PN-ISO 1392: Method for the determination of the freezing point). The crystallization of di(tert-butoxy)diacetoxysilane was not visually observed up to -35.2 °C. According to Column 2 of REACH Annex VII, the study does not need to be conducted below a lower limit of –20 °C.

Description of key information
