Description of key information

The test item biodegradation reached a value of 86.6% at Day 28 in a test performed according to the OECD 301F Testing Guideline. However, the 10 days-window criteria was not fulfilled.

The acrylated analogue of the test item (1,10 decanediol diacrylate; 13048 -34 -5) was also readily biodegradable but failing the 10 days-window criteria. In a similar test (OECD 301F), the biodegradation was 78.8% at Day 28 and 58% at the end of the 10 day-window.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Biodegradation in water:
readily biodegradable but failing 10-day window
