Toxicity to soil macroorganisms (earthworm)

During this test, artificial soils was used with the moisture content of the test medium controlled in range of 27% to 35% with pH form 6.1 to 6.3. The test conditions were maintained as follows: temperature of 20ºC to 22ºC humidity of 80% to 85% and continuous light with intensity of 400 lux to 800 lux. The result indicated that the 14 d LC50 of the test substance in the artificial soil was greater than 1002 mg/kg dry weight soil (based on the average nominal concentration). The highest concentration causing no mortality for 14 d (14d-LC0) was 1002 mg/kg dry weight soil (based on the average nominal concentration).

Toxicity to terrestrial arthropods

Waiving according to "column 2" in Annex IX of REGULATION (EC) No 1907/2006. The studies need not to be conducted if direct and indirect exposure of the soil compartment is unlikely. The substance has a low adsorption at the soil (Log Koc < 2). No toxicity to soil maccroorganisms and terrestrial plants.

Toxicity to terrestrial plants

Under valid test conditions, the LOEC for ten plant seeds including Cabbage (Brassica chinensis L.), Brassica oleracea (Kohlrabi), Zea mays (corn) , Lycopersicon esculentum (tomato) etc. are greater than 354 mg/L (measured concentration of the filtrate of the oversaturated solution), and the NOEC is 354 mg/L (measured concentration of the filtrate of the oversaturated solution). The EC50 for either germination or root elongation is greater than 354 mg/L (measured concentration of the filtrate of the oversaturated solution).

Toxicity to soil microorganisms

Waiving according to "column 2" in Annex IX of REGULATION (EC) No 1907/2006. The studies need not to be conducted if direct and indirect exposure of the soil compartment is unlikely. The substance has a low adsorption at the soil (Log Koc < 2). No toxicity to soil maccroorganisms and terrestrial plants.
