Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Short-term toxicity to fish

The acute toxicity of the test substance to Zebrafish (Danio rerio was determined according to OECD 203. The 96 hour LC50 was determined to be 13.1 mg/L based on geometric mean measured concentration.

Short-term toxicity to aquatic invertebrates

An EC50 of 52 mg/L (24 h) and 31 mg/L (48 h) was determined with a short-term toxicity test in daphnia according to OECD 202. The result was based on nominal concentration, however, the test concentrations can be considered to be stable based on the analytical results in the fish acute toxicity study and algae toxicity study.

Toxicity to aquatic algae and cyanobacteria

The toxicity of the test item to the freshwater green algae Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata was determined in a test according to OECD guideline 201. The test determined an EC50 value of 59.9 mg/L, an EC10 value of 28.8 mg/L and a NOEC of 6.99 mg/L. The values are based on the growth rate.

Toxicity to microorganisms

According to the ECHA Guidance document R7b, no further test on the toxicity to microorganisms has to be conducted if the toxicity control in a ready biodegradability test shows no inhibitory effects on microorganisms. As the toxicity control in the Closed Bottle Biodegradability test showed no inhibition of the microbial activity at a substance concentration of 2 mg/L, no further test is necessary to evaluate the respiration inhibition of activated sludge. The concentration used in the toxicity control (2 mg/L) can be used as NOEC value.
