Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
General information: Remove contaminated clothing immediately and dispose of safely.
After inhalation: Immediately remove to fresh air. Consult a physician afterwards.
After contact with skin: In case of contact with skin wash off immediately with soap and water
After contact with eyes: In case of contact with eyes rinse thoroughly with plenty of water and seek medical advice
After ingestion: If swallowed seek medical advice immediately (treat symptomatically).
Fire-fighting measures
Suitable extinguishing media: water spray jet, foam, carbon dioxide, dry powder
Special hazards arising from the substance: Carbon oxides
Special protective equipment for firefighting: Use self-contained breathing apparatus
Further information: Fire residues and contaminated firefighting water must be disposed of in accordance with the local regulations
Accidental release measures
Use personal protective clothing.
Do not discharge into the subsoil/soil.
Take up mechanically
When picked up, treat material as prescribed under heading "Disposal".
Avoid raising dust
Handling and storage
Advice on safe handling:
Observe the usual precautions for handling chemicals. Provide good ventilation when handling large quantities. Avoid formation of dust.
Hygiene measures: Keep away from foodstuffs and beverages. Do not eat or drink during work time.
Advice on protection against fire and explosion:
Keep away from sources of ignition - refrain from smoking. Take precautionary measures against build-up of electrostatic charges, e.g earthing
during loading and off-loading operations. Avoid formation of dust.
Further information on storage conditions: Keep container tightly closed in a cool, well-ventilated place

Exposure controls / personal protection
This substance is exclusively used as an intermediate to be consumed in a chemical reaction for the synthesis of other chemical compounds.
During its lifecycle the substance is handled under strictly controlled conditions and is rigorously contained in accordance with Art. 18.
Based on the knowledge of the basic hazards to humans and environment technical, organizational and PPE measures are taken to minimize release and exposure of this substance. National regulatory requirements for the handling of chemicals are also fulfilled. Employees are regularly
trained. The efficiency of these measures is controlled e.g. by workplace measurements. In case of deviations these measures are adapted.
General protective measures:
Do not inhale dust. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Observe the usual precautions for handling chemicals.
Respiratory protection : Dust mask
Hand protection : Suitable protective gloves
Eye protection : Safety glasses
Body protection : working clothes
Stability and reactivity
Chemical stability: Under normal conditions the product is stable.
Disposal considerations
Product:
In accordance with current regulations may be taken to waste disposal site or incineration plant, after consultation with site operator and/or with the responsible authority
Uncleaned packaging:
Packaging that cannot be cleaned should be disposed of as product waste
