Description of key information
In accordance with Section 2, Annex XI of Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006 (REACH), it is considered justified to omit the Flammability (Solids or Gases) study required in accordance with section 7.10 of Annex VII on the basis that testing is not technically feasible due to the substance being a liquid.
Furthermore, in accordance with Section 1 of Annex XI of Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006 (REACH), it is considered justified to omit the Flammability (Contact with Water) and Pyrophoric Properties of Solids and Liquids studies, also required under section 7.10 of Annex VII, on the basis that the testing does not appear to be scientifically necessary. The chemical structure of the test material contains no groups which would indicate potential reactivity with water or pyrophoric properties. In addition, experience of handling the material and the known chemical and physical properties of the substance suggest that it is not pyrophoric and is not flammable in contact with water.
