Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

Experimental data on toxicity of Tripropylenglykoldiacrylate (TPGDA, CAS 42978-66-5) to aquatic invertebrates are available.

As key study was performed conducted according to EU Method C2, using Daphnia magna as a test organism (BASF AG, 1988, rep. no.: 1/0671/2/88-0671/88). No vehicle was used in this study. The 48h EC50 was determined to be 89 mg/L, based on nominal test concentrations.

The test concentrations were not analytically verified. However, the test concentrations are assumed to be stable over the exposure period based on a sufficient water solubility, a low Henry's Law constant (see IUCLID Ch. 5.4.2) and a low adsorption potential (log Kow = 2.7, measured, see IUCLID Ch.4.7; Log Koc = 3, worst-case, estimated, see IUCLID Ch. 5.4.1).

It can be concluded that the substance is with high probability acutely harmful to aquatic invertebrates.
