- Method:
The test substance is hardly soluble. Therefore, before starting the test, the test substance (100, 1000, and 10000 mg test item) was suspended in dilution water for daphnids and placed in a mechnical shaker (approximately 130 rpm) for 24 hours. After this time period of incubation the suspension was filtered (fluted filter; rinsed with deionised water before filtration was conducted). The clear filtrate (eluate) was used in the test without further dilution.
