Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

A flash point was measured for the high trans (cis/trans: 10/90) and the high cis quality (cis/trans: 85/15), respectively. The test material is not classified as flammable for all isomers ratio.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flash point at 101 325 Pa:
150 °C

Additional information

The flash point was performed on two different qualities of the substance with the closed-cup method using the ASTM D6450-99 standard method and the Method A9 of 440/2008/EEC. Results were 150 +/- 0.2°C and 156 +/- 2°C for cis:trans ratio of 10:90 and 80:20, respectively. Therefore, the isomer composition has no significant influence on the flammability hazard. Classification is discussed under point 4.13.
