Additional information

2-(2-ethoxyethoxy)ethyl acetate (CAS 112-15-2) is susceptible to indirect photodegradation in air with a half-life of 13.2 h (Corti, 2018). Accumulation in air and the subsequent transport to other environmental compartments is not expected. Hydrolysis is not relevant, since the substance is readily biodegradable and is expected to be eliminated through biodegradation in natural waters. The estimated half-life for abiotic hydrolysis [DT50 value > 24 h (pH 7)] supports this statement.
