Theoretical oxygen demand (ThOD) was determined to be 2.11 mg/mg substance in a biological degradation closed bottle test.
Monitoring data show that ethyl methacrylate has been identified in cold-stored milk, but without quantification. In 24 locations in Japan, levels of ethyl methacrylate were below the detection limit in two separate studies.
Ambient air concentrations were determined in samples taken at 13 semi-rural to urban locations in Maine, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Illinois, Louisiana, and California. The lowest daily standard for Ethyl methacrylate was 0.092 ppbV.
Water samples from 30 randomly distributed monitoring wells in areas of recent residential and commercial development, Wichita Kansas,
were collected. The result was <0.18 ug/L for Ethyl methacrylate, the limit of detection.
