Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

No toxic effects up to the limit of water solubility (< 0.05 mg/L in aqua dest) for Danio rerio (OECD 203, limit test)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

One study investigating the short-term toxicity of Ditetradecyl fumarate (CAS 10341-03-4) to freshwater fish is available. The static limit test was conducted according to GLP and OECD 203 using Danio rerio as test organism (Wiech, 2012). No analytical determinations were performed since the solubility of the test item is below the limit of quantification (0.04 mg/L). The test solution was prepared by weighing in an appropriate amount of test item in a petri dish. The petri dish containing the test item was placed in the test vessel filled with test medium. The test solution was stirred for 72 hours before fish were introduced into the test vessel. After introducing the fish stirring was stopped. The petri dish containing the test substance was left in the test vessel during the whole test duration. No sub-lethal or lethal effects were observed in the control and at 100 mg/L. Thus the 96 h-LC50 is assessed as > 100 mg/L.
