Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Oxidising properties are not expected, if an organic molecule does not contain oxygen, chlorine or fluorine, or if the molecule does contain oxygen, chlorine or fluorine, but these elements are chemically bonded to carbon or hydrogen, only.

The chemical structure of AVE 5530 EVA-KET shows that all oxygen atoms, as well as the fluorine atom are bound to carbon atoms only and thus, the molecule as a whole does not exhibit oxidising properties. This argumentation is in line with recommendations of the German Authorities (BAuA) for the notification dossiers / data sets of ELINCS substances.

In conclusion, based on the chemical structure of AVE 5530 EVA-KET and individual structural components of the molecule, oxidising properties are not expected.

Conclusions:
Considering the chemical structure of AVE 5530 EVA-KET and individual structural components of the molecule, oxidising properties are not expected.
Executive summary:

Oxidising properties are not expected, if an organic molecule does not contain oxygen, chlorine or fluorine, or if the molecule does contain oxygen, chlorine or fluorine, but these elements are chemically bonded to carbon or hydrogen, only.

As can be seen from the chemical structure of AVE 5530 EVA-KET (see above), this applies to the molecule of the test substance. All the oxygen atoms, as well as the fluorine atom are bound to carbon atoms only and thus, the molecule as a whole does not exhibit oxidising properties. This argumentation is in line with recommendations of the German Authorities (BAuA) for the notification dossiers / data sets of ELINCS substances.

In conclusion, considering the chemical structure of AVE 5530 EVA-KET and individual structural components of the molecule, oxidising properties are not expected.
