Although there are no data available concerning the acute toxicity to fish, the substance is considered with high probability acutely not harmful to fish. Studies are available in order to determine the acute toxicity to fish of four members of the category of derivatives of 4,4’-bis(1,3,5-triazinyl-2-yl)amino)stilbene-2,2’-disulfonic acid, each with one anilino and one alkyl amino moiety.All those studies demonstrate that the substances belonging to the category are with a high probability acutely not harmful to fish.

EC 240-521-2: In a short-term toxicity study of the test substance on Danio rerio, no toxic effects occurred at the test concentration of nominally 1000 mg/L (CIBA-GEIGY 1992). Therefore, the test substance is considered not to be harmful to fish.

EC 432-690-8: In a short-term toxicity study of the test substance on Oncorhynchus mykiss, no toxic effects occurred at the test concentration of 100 mg/L (Clariant 2006). Therefore, the test substance is considered not to be harmful to fish.

EC 476-900-6: In a short-term toxicity study of the test substance on Danio rerio, no toxic effects occurred at the test concentration of nominally 100 mg/L (Clariant 2006). Therefore, the test substance is considered not to be harmful to fish.

EC 416-640-2: In a short-term toxicity study of the test substance on Oncorhynchus mykiss, no toxic effects occurred at the test concentration of 100 mg/L (Sandoz 1995). Therefore, the test substance is considered not to be harmful to fish.
