Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

PBT assessment: overall result

PBT status:
the substance is not PBT / vPvB
Justification:

Both the parent and transformation product TP-1 were evaluated for PBT properties.

Due to the results from chapter 5.1 Degradation, the parent substance has to be regarded very persistent (vP) in the environment. Due to the results from chapter 5.3 Bioaccumulation the parent substance is not bioaccumulative (not B) and not very bioaccumulative (not vB). Due to the results of the aquatic toxicity studies (see chapter 6.1. Aquatic compartment including sediment) and the relevant mammalian toxicity studies (see chapter 7. Human Health Hazard Assessment), the parent substance is not toxic (not T).

The transformation product TP-1 was considered not P/vP based on the result of the OECD 309 study. The logKow/logDow profile was estimated to be < 4.5 in the environmental relevant pH range. As the transformation product is more polar than the parent, its toxicity is considered the same or lower than the parent substance, and thus not T.

Based on all information, it can be stated that the parent substance and the transformation product do not fulfil the PBT criteria (not PBT) and not the vPvB criteria (not vPvB).
