Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Type of information:
migrated information: read-across from supporting substance (structural analogue or surrogate)
Adequacy of study:
key study
Study period:
From April 2012 to May 2012
Reliability:
2 (reliable with restrictions)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
other: see 'Remark'
Remarks:
This study was performed in accordance with an accepted method (OECD 109) and under standard laboratory conditions. The substance tested is a hydrated form of the substance to be registered and therefore in accordance with 'Data Submission Manual, Part 18 - How to report substance identity in IUCLID 5 for registration under REACH' the hydrated form is considered to be different to the anhydrous form. Read-across from trimagnesium phosphate-5-hydrate to the anhydrous trimagnesium bis(orthophosphate) is justified on the basis that the addition of water is unlikely to detrimentally affect the physicochemical or (eco)toxicological profile of the substance. The reliability has been selected in accordance with 'practical guide 6: How to report read-across and categories' which states that the maximum reliability for a read-across study is 2. The study is considered to be adequate and reliable for the purpose of registration under REACH (Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006).

Additional information

The relative density of trimagnesium phosphate 5 hydrate wasdetermined in accordance with OECD Guideline 109 using the gas comparison method at a temperature of 20 °C.

The density has been determined to be ca. 503.3 g/L at 20°C.
