Handling and storage

Precautions for safe handling

Advice on safe handling

Provide good ventilation of working area (local exhaust ventilation if necessary).

Avoid the formation and deposition of dust.

Provide exhaust ventilation if dust is formed.

Take precautionary measures against electrostatic loading.

Hygiene measures

Wash hands before breaks and after work.

Use barrier skin cream.

Remove soiled or soaked clothing immediately and clean thoroughly before using again.

Advice on protection against fire and explosion

Take precautionary measures against build-up of electrostatic charges, e.g  earthing during loading and off-loading operations.

Keep away from sources of ignition

Dust can form an explosive mixture with air.

Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities

Further information on storage conditions

Keep container tightly closed in a well-ventilated place

General protective measures

Do not inhale dust

Avoid contact with eyes and skin

Respiratory protection : In case of dust formation, use a fine dust face mask.

Hand protection : Nitrile rubber  applied on knitted cotton for mechanical stress. Leather gloves

Because this glove is used only for mechanical protection, the minimum breakthrough time and thickness are not relevant to safety.

For long-term exposure: Butyl rubber gloves. These types of protective gloves are offered by various manufacturers. Please note the manufacturers´ detailed statements, especially about the minimum thickness and the minimum breakthrough time. Consider also the particular working conditions under which the gloves are being used.

With solid dry substances permeation is not to be expected, therefore the breakthrough-time for this protective glove has not been measured.

Eye protection : safety glasses

Body protection : working clothes
