Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

With high probability acutely not harmful to aquatic invertebrates. No acute toxic effects occur within the range of solubility.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

One reliable study on the acute toxicity to aquatic invertebrates is available. The 48–hr-acute toxicity of the test item to Daphnia magna was studied under static conditions (RCC Ltd. 2002). Daphnids were exposed to control and test item at a nominal loading rate of 100 mg/L for 48 hr.  Mortality/immobilization and sublethal effects were observed daily. The 48–hr EC50 was > 100 mg/L. The 48–hr EC0 based on immobilization was 100 mg/L.

Overall, it can be concluded that the results indicate that the substance is not acutely toxic to Daphnia magna in the range of solubility.
