Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

Waiving according to "column 2" in Annex IX of Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 (outcome of CSA indicates that available terrestrial toxicity tests are appropriate to cover information requirements, see also Guidance R.7c, chapter R.7.11.5).

Tests for assessment of a possible toxicity of substances of the Naphtol-AS Pigments on soil micro-organisms are not required as available data are sufficient to perform the hazard assessment. Taking into account all available data comprising aquatic toxicity (acute tests for fish and chronic tests for aquatic plants / algae and invertebrates), toxicity to sewage treatment plant microorganisms, chronic toxicity tests with sediment organisms and soil toxicity tests (earthworm, chronic and terrestrial plants seedling emergence test), toxicity to soil micro-organisms is highly improbable as in none of the mentioned tests any ecotoxicity of the Naphtol-AS Pigments was observed.
