Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The vapour pressure was determined with method EU A.4 and estimated with MPBPVPWIN. The vapour pressure is < 0.001 Pa.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Vapour pressure:
0.001 Pa
at the temperature of:
25 °C

Additional information

An approach to determine the vapour pressure of Sodium Tolyltriazolate following EU A.4 using the effusion method (weight loss) was made. Even at the highest temperature (150°C) the calculated pressure value is in the range of about 0.001 Pa. That is the lower limit of pressure range recommended for the effusion method by loss of mass (Regulation (EC) No 440/2008 / MethodEU A4).

The actual value for the vapour pressure of the test item at ambient temperatures can thus be expected to be far below the calculated pressure range of 0.001 Pa. Using MPBPVPWIN a vapour pressure of 1.19*10-8Pa can be estimated.
