Description of key information

The test substance is a black powder. The melting and boiling point is >260 °C as the test substance began to decompose prior to boiling or meltingVapour pressure and flash point could be waived due to melting point temperatures. The density at 20 °C is 1.4584 g/cm³ with a median diameter (L50D) of 20.30 µm. The calculated partition coefficient between n-octanol and aqueous phase is: log Pow: -0.68. The water solubility of the test substance is 135 g/L at 20 °C. The surface tension of aqueous solution at 20 °C is 54.6 mN/m at 0.25 % (w/w) solution. The auto-flammability temperature of the test substance is >550 °C and it is not highly flammable. The test substance is not explosive, has no oxidizing properties, and is thermally stable. Therefore, classification of the test substance is not needed according to the Directive 67/584/EEC and according to the EU Classification, Labelling and Packaging of Substances and Mixtures (CLP) Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008.
