First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation: Move exposed person to fresh air. Symptomatic treatment.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse with plenty of water. If irritation occurs, seek
medical advice.
Emergency measure - Skin: Wash with soap and water. If irritation develops, seek
medical attention.

Recommended extinguishing agent: Water, dry powder, foam and carbon dioxide may be used.
Product arising from burning: Products of combustion may contain oxides of carbon,
nitrogen and sulfur together with some soot.

Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: Wear protective clothing (dust mask, safety goggles and
impermeable gloves).
For solids, dampen with water, sweep up and place in
containers for disposal by incineration. For liquids, absorb
with an inert material and collect for disposal by
incineration. Incinerate at an authorised facility.
Handling and storage
Handling: Observe the usual precautions for handling chemicals. If the
substance is handled as a powder, avoid inhalation of any
dust and wear dust mask. Take precautionary measures against
static discharges. Protective clothing and gloves should be
worn. Ensure adequate ventilation.
Storage: The substance should be stored in well sealed and secure
containers in adequate rooms at room temperature.
Packaging of the substance and or preparation: Polyethylene-drum in sealed cardboard package.

Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recovery for recycling is not reasonably practicable only
~3% remains unused.

Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Not recommended.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Incinerate at high temperatures (>1200 deg C) in a suitable
facility with the equipment necessary to remove oxides of
sulfur and nitrogen as well as halogenated compounds. (A661)
Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Waste water can be purified by membrane filtration,
floculation with cationic agents or by treatment with ozone.
The most effective method is the membrane filtration and
this should be used: more than 99% of the remaining dyestuff
can be removed from the waste water. (A641)
Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: The substance itself will not enter the public domain.
Recovery from articles is not possible.
