The relative density of the multi-constituent substance Multi constituent ester of pentaerythritol 2-ethylhexanoate was determined at 70 °C with an areometer according to an internal method (similar to ASTM 1298-88). The QSAR calculations for the individual diester (1.060 at 20 °C, 1.030 at 70 °C), triester (1.020 at 20 °C, 1.000 at 70 °C) and tetraester (1.010 at 20 °C, 0.980 at 70 °C) components with SPARC (v4.6) and a literature value for the tetraester component (0.9606 at 26.1 °C) differ to some extend but lie within the same range.
