Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

A melting point study done according to  EU method A.1 showed that sodium salt branched alkylate derivatives decomposed at 239 degrees C without melting (see section 4.1), a vapor pressure therefore cannot be determined for this substance.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Vapour pressure:
0 Pa
at the temperature of:
25 °C

Additional information

A melting point study done according to EU method A.1 showed that sodium salt branched alkylate derivatives decomposed at 239 degrees C without melting (see section 4.1), a vapor pressure therefore cannot be determined for this substance.

The key value is taken from the MPBPVP program (v1.43) of EPI Suite as run for a "lesser branched" isomer of the BABS Na salt (Selected VP = 6.68E-12 Pa) and a "highly branched" isomer of BABS Na salt (Selected VP = 1.54E-11 Pa). The more conservative "highly branched" value is used for the key value, then rounded off at the lowest level accepted by IUCLID system (i.e., 0.0000000000154 Pa becomes 0.000000002 Pa.
