One study is available on the long-term toxicity of Heptanoic acid, ester with 2,2-dimethyl-1,3-propanediol (CAS No. 68855-18-5) to aquatic invertebrates.
The key study conducted with Heptanoic acid, ester with 2,2-dimethyl-1,3-propanediol (CAS No. 68855-18-5) was performed according to OECD Guideline 211 and GLP, in a semi-static system (Parr, 2013). During 21 days, the test organism Daphnia magna was exposed to five test concentrations up to 0.0019 mg/L measured (TWA). No significant effects on reproduction were observed during the study and the NOEC (21d) was reported to be ≥0.0019mg/L.
