Applicant's summary and conclusion

Interpretation of results:
not irritating
Remarks:
Migrated information Criteria used for interpretation of results: EU
Conclusions:
Acetophenone had no irritating effect on rabbit eyes.
Executive summary:

The eye irritation potential of 0.1 mL acetophenone was investigated in 6 rabbits following a testing procedure comparable to OECD TG 405 (without scoring at 1 h post instillation). According to the scoring system of Draize there was no adverse reaction at any time point (24, 48 and 72 h) post application. Acetophenone had no irritating effect on rabbit eye.
