Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data
First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove to fresh air. Seek medical attention promptly.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Immediately flush eyes with plenty of water. Seek medical
attention promptly.
Emergency measure - Skin: Remove contaminated clothing and wash skin with soap and
water. Seek medical attention if irritation develops.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek medical attention promptly.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: Water, Foam and Dry Powder
Product arising from burning: Products of combustion may contain oxides of carbon,
hydrogen chloride and oxides of nitrogen.
Product determined by test: N
Protective equipment: Use appropriate self-contained breathing apparatus.
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: Observe all PPE precautions when cleaning up spills. Collect
solid material in double polythene bag and keg. Dispose of
material as special waste. Wash contaminated area with
water and contain via spill pillows. Dispose of pillows as
special waste.
Handling and storage
Handling: Control of operator exposure to dust is primarily by means
of specifically designed containment and local extraction
equipment. As a back up to this personal protective
equipment including air fed hoods, tyvek overalls and
heavyweight rubber gloves are used.
Storage: Double polythene bagged inside fibreboard kegs. Clearly
labelled in an internal warehouse facility at ambient
temperature.
Packaging of the substance and or preparation: Double polythene bags into fibreboard kegs. Clearly
labelled.

Disposal considerations
Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: None - Intermediate is consumed in process.
Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: Not applicable.
Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Not applicable.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: All process wastes are incinerated.
Stack gases should be scrubbed because products of
combustion may contain oxides of carbon, hydrogen chloride
and oxides of nitrogen.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Not applicable.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - other: Not applicable.
Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: The substance does not enter the public domain.
