The partition coefficient 1-octanol / water ofDesmedipham (AE B038107), pure substanceat room temperature (mean 23°C) wasdetermined according to the "shake flaskmethod"described in European Commission Council Regulation (EC) No 440/2008, Annex, Part A, method A.8., OECD Guideline 107and US EPA Product Properties Test Guideline OCSPP830.7550.The partition coefficient was determined at pH 4 only. The concentration of Desmedipham(AE B038107), pure substancewas determinedby HPLC analysis. The reversed phase HPLC method used was found to be valid. The result of the experiments is shown in the following table below

Conclusions:
Acceptable. Validation data has been presented. Purified substance (99.6%): LogPow 3.5 at pH4 by flask method
Executive summary:

Test Guidelines: European Commission Council Regulation (EC) No 440/2008, Annex, Part A, method A.8.OECD Guideline 107, US EPA Product Properties Test Guideline OCSPP830.7550

The partition coefficient 1-octanol/water of Desmedipham (AE B038107), pure substance, at room temperature (mean 23°C) was determined according to the “shake flask method”described in European Commission Council Regulation (EC) No 440/2008, Annex, Part A, method A.8., OECD Guideline 107 and US EPA Product Properties Test Guideline OCSPP830.7550.

Due to the lack of stability above pH 7, the partition coefficient was determined at pH 4 only.

The concentration of Desmedipham, pure substance was determined by HPLC analysis.

The reversed phase HPLC method used was found to be valid.

The result of the experiments is shownin the following table:
