Additional information

Based on the results from the hydrolysis tests conducted with ethyl 3,5 -dichloro-4 -hexadecyloxycarbonyloxybenzoate (AF-366) it can be stated that rapid abiotic degradation in water will occur at pH 4 and 7 whereas at pH 9 the substance is expected to be hydrolytically stable (half-life 47.8 days). Once released into the air, the substance is susceptible to undergo rapid indirect photodegradation, for which a half-life of 16.5 hours was calculated. No data regarding phototransformation of the substance in water and soil are available, however, according to Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006 these are not mandatory information requirements.
