Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Testing on the subtance was not feasible due to the low water solubility of the material.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The hydrolysis has not been determined by Method C7 Abiotic Degradation, Hydrolysis as a Function of pH of Commission Regulation (EC) No 440/2008 of 30 May 2008 and Method 111 of the OECD Guidelines for Testing of Chemicals, 13 April 2004 due to the low water solubility of the test item.

The main functional groups in the test item's two organic ligands are an amide and azo. The azo group would not be expected to hydrolyse under relevant environmental conditions of temperature and pH. Although amides can hydrolyse they usually do slowly and would be expected to be even more stable with electron delocalisation with the rest of the ligand. Even though it was expected that the organic ligands would not hydrolyse, it is unknown whether hydrolysis would cause the ligands to dissociate from the central iron cation.
