Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

- Stable under storage conditions until: 01 July 2018 (retest date)
Key result
Remarks on result:
no self-ignition observed up to the melting point

No spontaneous ignition occurred and no exothermic effect was observed. It demonstrated that the test item is "not a self-heating substance". According to the UN guideline, no further testing is required.

After the experiment, the test item had turned into an orange residue and was collected in a container that was placed below the cube. It indicated that the test item had melted, decomposed and/or reacted during the experiment.

Conclusions:
Based on the results of the EC A.16 test performed, the test item is considered ‘not self-ignitable’.

Because there were no indications of self-heating observed in this test, the test item was considered ‘not self-heating’ and the main study according to UN N.4 was not performed.

Description of key information

The auto-flammability potential of T008506 was determined in a K1 GLP study (Ciric, 2017) carried out according to EC A.16. In the EC A.16 test no self-heating was observed up to the melting point of the test item. No relative self-ignition temperature could be determined.

Key value for chemical safety assessment
