First-aid measures
If the person is unconscious, she must not ingest anything.
- Following inhalation:
Take the patient in the open air and consult a doctor.
If breath is stopped or irregular, practice artificial respiration and call a doctor. Give nothing by mouth.
- Following skin contact:
Remove contaminated clothing and wash skin thoroughly with soap and water.
- Following eye contact:
Wash with water and consult an ophthalmologist.
- Following ingestion:
Consult a doctor and showing him the label to judge the appropriate of monitoring and subsequent treatment in hospital if necessary.
- Most important symptoms and effects:
Ingestion : Accidental ingestion of salts of oxalic acid soluble cause systemic poisoning by hypocalcaemia (tremors, convulsions, coma, bleeding disorders) and especially acute nephritis with precipitation in renal tubules insoluble calcium oxalate.
Indication of any immediate medical attention and special treatment necessary : Rinse thoroughly with water area in contact with the substance. Consult a doctor.
Fire-fighting measures
- Unsuitable extinguishing media: Fountain to not scatter the product.
- Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture: The thermal decomposition product is a source of toxic gas emission,CO and CO2
- Advice for fire fighter:
Protective measures : Avoid contact with skin or eyes. Isolate area.
Special protective equipment : Wear a autonomous respiratory apparatus.
Accidental release measures
To the non-rescuers
Protection equipment : Goggles, chemical protective gloves (EN374-3), workwear.
Flame, ventilation, dust : Avoid dust formation. Avoid dust inhalation. Ensure adequate ventilation. Wearing dust-mask type P2 P3 (EN143).
Emergency procedures : If spilled quantities are important, evacuate all personnel and involving only trained operators equipped with protective equipment.
To the rescuers
Appropriate clothing : Respirator protection in case of aerosol : adequate protective mask type P2 or P3, in accordance with regulation EN143.
Hands protection : protective gloves with chemical resistance in accordance with regulation EN374-3.
Eyes protection : wear protective goggles in all case of industrial use. Water station near.
Skin protection : Clothing waterproof and covering.
- Environmental precautions:
Prevent any penetration into sewers or waterways.
Pick up spilled product, putting it in plastic bags or drums.
Use drums to dispose of waste recovered in accordance with applicable regulation.
If the product contaminates waterways, rivers or sewers, alert the relevant authorities in accordance with statutory procedures.
- Methods and material for containment and cleaning up:
If spilling : Pick up spilled product, put it in plastic bags or drums. Place in containers for disposal of waste recovered in accordance with existing regulations.
Cleaning procedures : Pick up the product by sweeping in hermetic container and evacuate it from appropriate landfill.
Cleaning in preference with water, do not use solvent and wood sawdust.
Handling and storage
Handling : Handle in well ventilated places. Collect dust if necessary. Don’t smoke. Prohibit access to unauthorized persons.
Avoid contact of product with skin and eyes. Water station near.
Hygiene : Wash hands before and after handling. Do not smoke, drink and heat in premises where product is used.
- Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities: Keep container tightly closed and in dry place (product sensitive to light).
For any particular use, consult the supplier.
