Results and discussion
Water solubility
- Key result
- Water solubility:
- < 10 mg/L
- Conc. based on:
- test mat. (dissolved fraction)
- Incubation duration:
- >= 24 - <= 72 h
- Temp.:
- 20 °C
- pH:
- >= 7.2 - <= 8.9
- Details on results:
- The results for the samples at loading rates 100, 1000, 10000 mg/L taken after stirring for 24, 48 and 72 hours are shown in the table below.
The result of the two times filtered sample shows that dissolved test item is not adsorbed to the filter.
The 24-, 48- and 72- hour measurements showed a large spread and therefore no mean value could be calculated.
The concentration measured increased with the loading rate. The maximum concentration of dissolved test item measured in the aqueous phase was 3.9 mg/L at 20°C at a loading rate of 10000 mg/L
Based on the observation of undissolved material in the nominal 10 mg/L and 100 mg/L solutions used in the first preliminary test, it was concluded that the water solubility of the test item is < 10 mg/L. Based on measurements of these samples in the second preliminary test and in the main study, it was concluded that the water solubility is even < 1 mg/L

Applicant's summary and conclusion
- Conclusions:
- The water solubility of the substance at 20°C was determined to be <10 mg/L.
- Executive summary:
The water solubility of the substance was determined using the flask method in a GLP study according to EC A.6, OECD 105 and OPPTS 830.7840. Quantification was performed by UV. The pH of the aqueous samples was 7.2 - 8.9.The water solubility at 20°C was determined to be < 10 mg/L.
