Conclusion on CLP

The test item is considered to be not rapidly degradable. Acute toxicity data are available for two trophic levels algae and aquatic invertebrates.The lowest acute aquatic toxicity EC50 value is between 1 and 10 mg/L. Long-term data are available for one trophic level only (algae ErC10 =1.1 mg/L). Therefore, the substance needs to be classified and labelled as Chronic Category 2 for environmental hazards according to the consolidated version of Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 (date: 01.01.2017) and further amendments (ATPs).

The impurity ally alcohol CAS 107 -18 -6 bears a harmonized classification of Aquatic Acute 1. However the maximum concentration of the impurity in the substance is clearly below 25% and therefore according to the summation method of the CLP Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 it does not affect the classification of the substance.
