Key result
Auto-ignition temperature:
422 °C
Atm. press.:
> 100.9 - 101.7 kPa
Remarks on result:
other: ± 5°C
Remarks:
Room temperature: 19-21°C
Conclusions:
The test substance was determined to have an auto-ignition temperature of 422 ± 5°C.
Executive summary:

The auto-ignition temperature of the test substance, Resin acids and Rosin acids, esters with trimethylolpropane, was determined in a procedure compatible with Method A.15 Auto-Ignition Temperature (Liquids and Gases) of Commission Regulation (EC) No. 440/2008 of 30 May 2008.

The apparatus used was a carbolite flask heater. The test flask was heated in a flask heater and then aliquots of test substance were dropped into the flask and observed for signs of ignition over a 300 second period. The process was repeated, varying the sample size as necessary, until the lowest temperature at which ignition (if any) occurred within 300 seconds of insertions was determined.

In conclusion, the auto-ignition of the test substance was determined to be 422 ± 5°C at an atmospheric pressure of 100.9 to 101.7 kPa at a room temperature of 19.21°C.
