Genetic toxicity in vitro
Description of key information
Bacterial reverse mutation test:
No evidence of mutagenic activity was seen at any concentration of trhe test item in either mutation test.
Toxicity (observed as thinning of the background lawn of non-revertant colonies, together with a reduction in revertant colony numbers) was seen in strains TA98, TA100 TA1535 and TA1537 following exposure to the test item in both tests. Precipitate was observed on all plates containing the test substance at 5000 µg/plate.

Additional information
Justification for classification or non-classification
The substance gave negative results in an Ames test and the read-across analogue gave negative results in two in vitro gentoxicity assays and therefore there is no
requirement for classification.
